JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: Warehouse Associate

Reports To: Operations Manager
Summary:
Oversee all functions within the Racing Force USA warehouse and distribution center including the pulling, packing, and shipping of product for distribution to Racing Force customers as well as the inventory and receiving processes. Responsible for all shipping and receiving functions; assuring accuracy, timeliness, and customer satisfaction. Oversee other warehouse personnel.
Primary Responsibilities:
Shipping & Receiving
· Support warehouse Manager with:
Reviewing daily picking documents and pulling, packing, and shipping orders in an accurate and timely manner.
- Verify outgoing shipments against records to ensure accuracy.
- Review preparation of materials, supplies, and equipment for shipment according to specifications and the transportation method.
- Maintain list of customer-preferred freight carriers.
- Maintain shipping and receiving equipment and supplies.
- Schedule yearly forklift preventative maintenance – maintain check sheet for forklift.
- Coordinate pickup and shipment with selected freight carriers.
- Ensure the accuracy of all shipping documents and gathers and maintain all data and records relative to shipping activities.
- Assure that shipping counts match picking documents and assist in resolving any discrepancies.
- Collect all documentation for outbound freight and route to the proper record keeping unit.
- Prepare shipping labels and ensure proper labels and tickets applied before shipping.
- Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
- Schedule and prepare inbound and outbound freight as needed.
- Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- Load and unload trucks using fork-lift equipment as needed (all personnel operating this equipment must be professionally trained).
- Ensure the accuracy of all receiving documents, gather and match forms (PO, packing slip) related to receiving activities.
- Assure that receiving counts match purchase orders and packing slips documents and assists in resolving any discrepancies. File all receiving paperwork as required.
- Receive UPS, Fed Ex, and Truck shipments. Divide and distribute as needed. Maintain incoming receiving log.
- Receive all incoming materials and supplies to include the inbound RMA material.
- Oversee Distribution full time and temporary employee(s), provide daily expectations in addition to regular duties.
Quality Control
· Support warehouse Manager with:
- Manage the inspection process for incoming items both finished goods and component parts.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of an ongoing report of all quality issues identified during incoming inspections or customer returns and report findings.
- Review and audit outgoing shipments to ensure a high level of quality.
- Inventory quantities and inspect for any apparent shipping damage at the time of receipt.
- Working from drawings, engineering-change notices, established operating procedures, and limited use of judgment, determine acceptance or rejection of material as needed.
- Confirm all product on shipments received are correct. Bar code labels for spelling accuracy, product information, item numbers, etc.
Inventory
· Support warehouse Manager with:
- Assure incoming merchandise placed in proper inventory location.
- Verify (count) received orders to ensure accuracy of incoming merchandise.
- Store items in bins, on floors, or on shelves for convenient access.
- Manage distribution functions such as inventory control, picklist generation, cycle counting and physical inventory counting.
- Make necessary inventory adjustments and provide accounting with inventory adjustment paperwork for files.
- Maintain first in / first out stock rotation so as older stock shipped prior to new stock.
- Set up Bin location strategy for primary pick locations.
- Conduct periodic cycle counts to assure accurate inventory.
Records, Procedures, Continuous Improvement
· Support warehouse Manager with:
- Maintain related record-keeping systems.
- File orders or requisitions for materials, keep records of items issued and received.
- Makes recommendation for improvements to operating procedures, maintenance, space utilization, protection of equipment, and other aspects of the shipping and receiving function.
- Perform all necessary system transactions including inventory transfers.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement processes to improve efficiency including suggested changes in layout and workflow. Contribute to a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Customer Returns
- Distribution is responsible for the back-end processing of consumer and dealer returns sent to Racing Force for reasons including size exchanges, quality problems, authorization for credit, accident inspections and other approved returns.
- Assure the returns process complies with the returns policy of Racing Force. Returns processed withing 48 hours of receipt.
Skills & Experience:
· Five to ten years of warehouse and distribution experience – supervisory experience required.
· Experience with ERP systems and scanning equipment required.
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Strong organizational skills with attention to details.
· Proficient in windows-based applications including shipping manifests.
· Be able to lift forty pounds on a regular basis.
· Must have current fork-lift certification.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.79 - $20.00 per hour
