Responsible for preparing, coding, and verifying purchase orders, invoices and vouchers. Performs duties of sales clerk as needed.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Prepares requisitions with proper coding for bill payment. Compiles data for preparation of monthly transfers. Enters liquor operations data into computer and reviews for content, completeness, and accuracy Establishes retail prices. Operates cash register, including checking for proper identification for sale of liquor. May occasionally open store and provide limited work direction to part-time staff in absence of store management. Performs other duties consistent with the responsibilities of the position as assigned by the City.
Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Two years of general office and/or entry level accounts payable experience in a retail environment. Must be 21 years of age. Previous experience operating cash register systems and handling money. Demonstrated excellent verbal and customer service skills in dealing with wide variety of people.Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Experience in a liquor operations environment.Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment that includes exposure to computer screens. Operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information. Primary job functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand, sit, or walk around store for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (25 pounds).
Reports to: Liquor Operations DirectorSchedule: Part-time; 25 hours per week. Tuesday – Friday daytime hours.Starting pay rate dependent on qualifications.Offers of employment are contingent on successful completion of background investigation.
