CardAlert Service identifies and reports counterfeit payment cards to issuers before the majority of them incur fraud losses. Operating in an ASP environment, the service analyzes daily transactions across multiple financial institutions via EFT Network feeds. This data is used to pinpoint multi-card fraud and identify common points of purchase. In doing so, large inventories of counterfeit cards are isolated and reported to appropriate issuers prior to suffering fraudulent authorization attempts.
As a Fraud Analyst within the CardAlert Service Team you will be responsible for identification, development, and investigation of bankcard fraud or counterfeit cases detected through the use of proprietary products or cases reported by customers. Since CardAlert is available to customers 7 days a week, you will be required to work alternate weekends and holidays. You will work with raw data, data filters, and other data mining tools to analyze the data and notify customers of suspicious point of fraud activity.
Gather, organize, and analyze data as it pertains to case development through the use of analytical, tracking, and data management tools.
Use tools to research and update contact database of CAS customers.
Interact with senior staff and customers to further develop cases, identify and analyze points of compromise, and notify customers of potential risk.
Work with team on well-defined tasks related to detection of suspicious point of fraud activity using proprietary software, and identification of potential cases through the use of in-house tools to update and query the database.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Ability to analyze data for patterns and trends and to take findings and communicate them in an effective manner
Detailed oriented and organized.
Works well in a small team environment.
Experience with Windows OS, MS Office programs required (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook) emphasis on MS Access
Database experience preferred.
Ability to work some rotating weekends and holidays
