Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Finance or equivalent practical experience.

5 years of relevant work experience in management and strategy consulting, data analysis or financial services.

Preferred qualifications:
Solid analytical work experience in high data volume environments in software, internet, media or telecoms industries. Strong spreadsheet skills with experience creating financial dashboards or models.

SQL expert and other database, automation or business intelligence skills (JavaScript, Python, R, Essbase).

Demonstrated track record of effectively partnering with technical, business, and operations colleagues. Distinctive problem solving and analytical skills combined with impeccable business judgment.
Team player; willing to help out other team members as necessary while promoting positive morale

Excellent oral and writing communication skills and the ability to communicate with highly technical management team.

Ads Finance within Google Customer Solutions (GCS) is part of Google’s Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) organization, providing financial and analytical support to Google’s business organization. Our work is integral to the operations and strategic decision-making of the commercial teams across all our advertising products. From understanding market and usage trends to exploring the productivity and returns on our various investments, the Finance organization is an important partner and adviser to the commercial leaders. In this role, you will work on a team that provides Finance support to sales leadership and partner with the Small- and Medium-sized Business (SMB) executive and management team, driving decisions around resource allocation and business growth, management.

The GCS Ads Finance team provides a wide range of financial services including helping sales managers understand what drives their business and how to make priority allocation decisions based on this data, forecasting, business growth, P&L management, ROI evaluations, financial modeling and data analysis. Once we understand these drivers, we also help make priority allocation decisions based on data and our partnership throughout Google helps us thrive in this role, working with the sales and product teams to coordinate agendas and find out about new product features; we’ll also collaborate with our Business Intelligence teams to automate reports and increase efficiency.

We provide key operational and strategic support on go-to-market and investment strategies, lifetime value of users, and a variety of other business intelligence initiatives.

Responsibilities

Provide executives with clear insights into drivers of business growth, risks, and opportunities and partner with leaders in sales to understand drivers of business growth.

Engage cross-functional and geo finance teams to drive scalable analyses, tools and insights.

Lead decision making on investment strategies for products, identification of key market drivers for business generation and resource allocation.

Analyze financial results and key performance metrics on a periodic basis to support decision making; build and maintain long-term financial models to understand the viability of projects, analyze expected returns, and support long-term resource allocation.

Provide decision support for day-to-day operational decisions and macro level project decisions through financial analysis.
