Visit Orlando is now recruiting for a full-time Travel Industry Sales Associate Representative, Latin America. The Travel Industry Sales Associate Representative provides support in the development and management of Travel Industry programs designed for the Latin American travel trade to increase incremental visitation from the region. This includes tour operators and wholesalers, as well as travel agents in targeted Latin American markets and administrative support

Assists Manager on a daily basis to ensure projects and activities are on track; serve as ongoing liaison with Latin American contracted representatives to provide necessary support for programs. Assists Manager, Sales Director and Latin American Representatives to ensure key clients have adequate support. Provides support for the Latin American Representatives to ensure they have the material and information to promote the destination.
Maintains Salesforce database ensuring up-to-date information, follow-up, leads production and reports. Assist Latin American Representatives with their access to Salesforce ensuring all sales calls and activities are logged into the system when available. Responds to Orlando member companies requesting information on activities in the Latin American markets and properly documents request in Sales Force.
Support Director and Sales Manager in member missions including designing format of overall program, creation of presentation materials, and organization of in-market sales calls/presentations and selling the program to members. This could include involvement by community partners such as the EDC and GOAA, as well as the Mayors of Orlando and/or Orange County.
Works with Trade Shows and Events team to ensure logistics are properly coordinated for Visit Orlando participation in trade shows, missions, events and destination orientations. This includes creating marketing opportunities for member recruitment, completing registrations, build detail schedule for destination orientations and event trips, order and shipping of collateral, prepare presentations and provide detail background information of the event. Ensure all is managed as a Campaign in Sales Force.
Assists Manager and Latin American Representatives with client follow up including generating leads and marketing referrals for members and inputting contact information in database; as well as working with coordinators to complete follow up mailings.
Interact with clients, including scheduled trade calls and respond to clients’ day to day inquiries. Also, actively seek market intelligence, clients’ production numbers and trading patterns when applicable.
Assists Manager to deliver presentations and hosting of Latin American destination orientations and groups from Latin America
Assist Manager in updating the Travel Trade section of the Latin American Digital Brag Books
Works with assigned intern to maintain inventory reports and remain up to date on material distribution and fulfillment in the Latin American markets.
Provides key support to the Manager for web content of the travel trade area of the Visit Orlando Web site. Secures information from members to include in the Travel Trade discounts section of the website. Responsible for the review of the Spanish and Portuguese language web sites and updating the web team on the relevant changes.
Provides support for content management of the Orlando Travel Academy.
Assist Manager in preparing information for required reports including KPI metrics, Executive Summary and Board Highlights.
Assists Manager as appropriate in representing Visit Orlando at trade shows and other industry events as required.
Assists Manager in supporting team efforts in hosting travel industry events taking place in Orlando such as IPW, SYTA, etc. through participation in host committee assignments.
Works with Manager and the Latin American Representatives to develop training presentations and keeps these presentations updated.
Provides support to content manager for topics and editorial content for quarterly trade e-newsletter and send out via Informz or third-party vendor and track open rates and deliveries.
Assists Manager with expense reports and invoices of projects. Assists Manager to process expense reports and invoices from the Latin American representatives.
Participates in regularly scheduled meetings and conference calls with global marketing team, representatives or other as required.
Act as the primary contact for the local based Latin American Receptive Tour Operators (RTO’s) and ensure that they have the material, information and training to sell the destination.
Proficient in English and Spanish
Ensures protection of the Orlando and Visit Orlando brand. Serves as a Brand ambassador.
Ensures own work area is maintained in a safe and clean manner.
Performs other accountabilities and projects as assigned.


Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; plus 3 – 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must be proficient in Word, Excel and Power Point with ability to be trained on customized Visit Orlando database, CRM.

LANGUAGE SKILLS (Spanish & English):
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Spanish and Portuguese language skills required.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
