Bay Colony Golf Club one of the finest upscale clubs in southwest Florida is looking for experienced cooks to join our team for season (October through May)!

Bay Colony Golf Club operates multiple kitchens and full pastry shop where cooks prepare from scratch almost everything in house from stocks to desserts. The multiple restaurants are open 6 days a week serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner to a very exclusive membership in varied dining rooms. The Clubs banquet kitchen can accommodate many parties at once for over 500 guests. Parties range from elaborate weddings to corporate events to backyard barbecues. The Club also hosts upwards of 20 multi course wine dinners per year.

Specific Job Duties Include:
Prepares all required items according to standard recipes
Sets up service units with needed items.
Serves items with established portions and presentation standards
Operates kitchen equipment.
Notifies Sous Chef of unexpected shortages.
Consistently uses safe and sanitary food handling practices.
Ensures that workstations and equipment are clean and sanitary.
Sets up, maintains and breaks down cooking line.
Requisitions items needed to produce menu items.
Covers, dates and neatly stores all leftover products that are reusable
Maintains communication with wait staff.
Maintains security and safety in work area.
Maintains neat professional appearance and observes personal cleanliness rules at all times.
Adheres to local and state health and safety standards.
Assists with other duties as instructed by the Sous Chef and Executive Chef.
Attends any food and beverage meetings.
Project a friendly, helpful attitude to all members and guests of the club
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills

A Degree from an associates program and/or a certified apprenticeship program is preferred but not required. High School diploma or equivalent, 2 years experience minimum as a cook. Country Club experience is a plus . Must be efficient, knowledgeable, sincere, dependable, detail-oriented and enthusiastic. A strong interest in the culinary arts, strong work ethic, and ability to learn are all required to succeed. A passion for excellence and commitment to high standards. Must be able to work nights and weekends. Must be able to pass drug screen.
