We are searching for an experienced Project Engineer to develop and execute capital projects crucial in producing the products manufactured by Dart Container!

As a Project Engineer you will manage multiple tasks in parallel while communicating effectively with internal and external teams. You will work closely with our team to prepare plans and timelines including, resourcing, and status and recap reports. You will also have the opportunity to lead a variety of tasks including, budget tracking, scheduling, updating and compiling project documentation, facilitating meetings, and tracking resolution of project issues.

A Day in the Life:
Work with Project Managers, technical leads, and engineers to identify, resolve or escalate project issues and remove obstacles
Proactively plan, anticipate project needs and support the execution path
Solve problems with solid analytical and organizational skills
Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports
Make sound judgements with minimal guidance
Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
Effectively communicate with various levels of the organization through presentations and meetings
Take swift action communicating timing of deliverables, milestones, weekly status, recaps and action items for internal team and clients

Core Skills and Qualifications:The ideal Project Engineer must possess all of the following:Requires one of the following:
Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in engineering or related field of study and three (3) years of manufacturing engineering or construction experience
Associate’s degree and nine (9) years of manufacturing engineering or construction experience
Experience and success in analyzing production equipment, processes and materials, and solving issues
Up to 40% domestic and international travel
Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license and passport

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree

This position is based in our Chicago facility located at 7575 S. Kostner Ave.
