The role you’ll contribute:
The Regional Registry Radiology Technologist performs a wide range of technical skills, which are utilized during a variety of Cardiovascular, Electrophysiology or Interventional Radiology procedures to provide an efficient, comfortable, and safe examination of all patients. The Technologist is proficient in all aspects of angiography, preparation, assessment, documentation and monitoring consistent with the policies, procedures and processes of the Cardiovascular Services department and Hospital Administration. Adheres to the guidelines and standards of professional practice associations. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
This is a regional position that floats to all CCL and CCL/IR labs across the region depending on managements discretion to support the needs of patient volumes and staffing.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Ability to appropriately prep and scrub into the range of cases performed in the cath labs and combo IR/CCL labs. Cardiac, Peripheral, Vascular, and EP.
- Assists with procedures and provides diagnostic aid by conducting organ or body scans on patients
- Prepares and positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately
- Prepares and administers contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations
- Observes patient during procedure and reports abnormal activity
- Monitors protocols and recommends updates or refinements as warranted
- Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines
- Able to perform all specialized imaging procedures such as angio, complex vascular and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures, along with assisting the Interventional Cardiologist/Radiologist/PA
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:
· Basic EKG interpretation
· Knowledge of electrophysiology diagnostic procedures
· RCIS/RCES
· ARRT, Vascular Interventional
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
· Graduated from an accredited Radiologic Technology program
· 0 - 2 years required
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
· Minimum of 1-2 years of experience preferred
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
· BLS
· ACLS
· ARRT
· IEMA
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:
· RCIS/RCES
· ARRT, Vascular Interventional
