Under minimal supervision the NAM, implements and executes sales/profit objectives utilizing various marketing and distribution programs targeted for an assigned retailer* on a national level. The incumbent strives to drive product dominance through Whole Foods Market and meet and/or exceed volume goals, while aggressively expanding brand distribution and in store planogram positioning.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Identifies brand building opportunities within account mix along with associated cost and volume.
Develops and presents market-level business plans and incentive programs to regional brokers, distributors, and retailers inclusive of preparing annual performance review summaries.
Coordinates account follow-up on any order issues between Corporate, Sales team, brokers, distributors and retailers.
Assists with implementation of Corporate Sales and Marketing objectives within the region.
Allocate and monitor regional Market Development Funds (MDF) budget to analyze ROI and ensure fund maximization.
Implements and executes all programs and planograms at key designated accounts.
Monitors and reports on competitive activity on a regular basis.
Assists with other project, as assigned
Minimum five years' experience in a direct sales capacity within the CPG industry or related capacity
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Ability and desire to travel extensively.
Working knowledge and understanding of Nielsen/IRI syndicated data.
Knowledge of internal computer sales systems utilized by assigned (Kroger, Target, Walmart, WholeFoods) national retailer
Proven ability to meet and/or exceed sales goals on a consistent basis
Ability to create and present sales data internally and to external cleints
Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize multiple priorities and strong attention to detail.
Computer skills including MS Office programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel PowerPoint.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate (verbal/writing) effectively.
Self-motivated and strong analytical / problem solving skills.
Ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization and across other functional areas.
Preferred knowledge of the Consumer Product Goods Industry.
