We are Group SJR and we are seeking a PR Account Executive to join our growing team. You’ll work directly with senior team members to develop pitch angles and place stories, follow media coverage and trending news, and draft pitches, press releases, speaking abstracts, award entries for clients.
In addition to all the essential skills that that make you great at PR having an eye for a good angle, excellent writing skills, you also like ownership, responsibility, strategic thinking, and understanding how PR works in service of business goals. You should have at least 1-2 years of agency or in-house communications experience, and at least a handful of established media relationships.
Support integrated media relations campaigns targeted toward key customer segments, maintain relationships with key media contacts
Develop a wide range of written materials (press releases, articles, communications plans, executive speaking points, and coverage reports)
Provide general and administrative account support (create weekly call agendas, attend regular events, etc.)
Proactively generate fresh ideas for programs, events and media outreach that parallel client objectives
