Senior Director Clinician Recruiting and Retention

DaVita Medical Group is looking for a Senior Director of Clinician Recruiting and Retention. The Senior Director will lead the California market’s multi-specialty physician and nurse practitioner recruiting efforts, residency program relationships and clinician services. The Senior Director will have autonomy to lead the largest of DaVita Medical Group’s 6 markets with the support of a large national organization.

The team recruits clinicians to an award winning workplace in highly desirable geographic locations. The Senior Director will take team performance to the next level by driving Service Excellence within the recruiting function and creating a special place for the team.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Develop recruiting strategies and best practices for clinician recruitment and retention
Coach and lead the recruiting team in their pipeline, recruiting, interviewing, selection and placement processes
Create a culture of continuous improvement around these efforts
Ensure an ongoing pipeline of top clinician talent
Deliver a candidate experience in which all candidates are treated with the highest standards of integrity and professionalism
Develop strong and consultative relationships with regional Medical Directors and executive leadership
Provide expertise to the annual hiring goal setting process
Analyze trends and metrics to understand and anticipate business needs as they change throughout the year
Manage and grow the CA residency program and create a playbook to share with other markets
Manage the clinician services team
Improve performance in recruiting metrics (e.g. positions filled, cost per hire, time to fill, interview to hire ratio, diversity, etc.) for all filled roles
Develop and create insightful reports for California leadership
Design, implement and maintain the appropriate processes, tools, systems and training necessary to support the clinical recruiting and retention function
Collaborate with other market recruiting leaders by sharing best practices and resources as needed

Qualifications. The ideal candidate will have:
5-8 years of clinician recruiting experience and in depth knowledge of recruiting operations and contemporary pipeline strategies
2-3 years of experience managing a team and a passion for coaching and developing teammates
Ability to work with all levels of employees within the organization, from direct reports to co-workers/peers to executive leadership
Demonstrated success thriving in a highly matrixed organization
Strong organizational skills and agility to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Creative and analytical problem solving skills
Bachelor’s degree
Master’s Degree (Human Resources or MBA preferred)
Up to date knowledge of California employment and agency law, the labor market and HR best practices
Ability to travel in California and domestically up to 40%
