Oroville Hospital Post Acute Care Center is offering an eight week earn as you learn nursing assistant training program with a one year agreement of employment upon certification (we provide you with a full-time permanent position once you are certified). This program combines both the classroom theory and hands on clinical experience required by the state of California to pass the written and skills examination to become certified.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assisting patients with the basic activities of daily living.
- Answers signal lights, bells or intercom system to determine resident’s needs.
- Provides assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, maintaining general hygiene.
- Transports residents using wheelchair, walker, or assists to walk, repositioning (while in bed), toileting/showering, serving and assisting with meals.
- Takes and records temperatures, blood pressures, pulse and respiration rates.
- Completes documentation (meal intake and output, activities of daily living status and flow sheets).
- Monitors along with the licensed nursing staff for changes in condition.
- Offers support to the patient and family.
