Role Purpose:
The System Director, Performance and Improvement and Performance Measurement leads non-labor spend related analytics, performance measurement, process improvement, project management and communication strategies across the Vendor Management, Supply Chain Operations and Implementation verticals within the scope of the SSM Health supply chain organization. The responsibilities of this role include developing, leading, facilitating, coordinating, and implementing consistent and effective financial and operational analytics; standardized reporting models; project management capabilities; process improvement collaboration and tracking; and development and adherence to standard communications structures.

The System Director is primarily responsible for developing and leading a team that provides an extensive variety of advanced analytical services, critical performance reporting, project management capabilities to support change management; and strategies for embedding a culture of process improvement. Each area of responsibility will contribute significantly to key strategic decision making for non-labor spend related activities for contracts, operations, implementation and communications across SSM Health and its participating affiliates.

With the Vice President, Vendor Management, Vice President, Supply Chain Operations and other leaders, the System Director leads a support team of analytic, measurement, project management and process/performance improvement focused talent in support of strategies that engage aligned end users, physicians, clinicians, administrators, and senior executives. This individual ensures collaboration with other departments to provide for aligned goals that result in rapid adoption and sustainable compliance across the portfolio of services.

The System Director will mentor team members and develop ongoing training and support tools to be leveraged across the organization.

Responsibilities:
Assists the System Vice President and Chief Supply Chain Officer in setting strategic contract, operations and implementation related direction to ensure team alignment and achievement of organizational goals.
Teams with other SSM Health leaders in defining savings and process improvement initiatives and support for associated work plan, timelines and measurable outcomes.
Builds relationships and influences utilization while building needed capacity within his/her team.
Serves as a catalyst for talent acquisition and growth within SSM Health; and assists in leading organizational transformation through development and empowerment of SSM Health employees.
Assists in establishing and implementing strategies and annual operating plan aligned with SSM Health objectives.
Provides leadership through innovation and problem solving strategies that are aligned with the Mission and Vision of SSM Health.
Teams with end users to establish appropriate SSM Health performance metrics to measure progress against initiatives, and proactively offers performance insight when metrics are not met.
Communicates financial and performance measurements, which serve as a gauge of cost reduction, revenue generation, variability reduction and process improvement initiatives.
Ensure related policies and procedures are written, modified, and regularly updated.
Utilizing verbal, written, and electronic media, the Director will provide effective communication efforts and programs to all levels of the organization and to our vendors within policy.

Minimum Qualifications:
MS, MBA, or advanced degree in related field
Demonstrated track record of successfully leading complex analytic, performance measurement and internal communications activities, like those listed above, preferably in a multi-site environment.
