Job Description: Part-time, per diem infusion RN to serve our patients in the San Francisco to Sonoma area. We partner with several national and local Specialty Pharmacies to deliver a variety of medications such as IVIg and other biologics.
Position: As an infusion RN, you can utilize your IV skills and nursing expertise to provide the best quality care to our patients in the comfort of their homes. The Infusion Nurse delivers medications provided by the specialty pharmacy. In addition to IV infusions, the RN may also provide subcutaneous infusion, Injections, Wound Care, CVAD, PICC and IVAD care, education for self-administration and participate in drug trials. The majority of our infusion cases are long-term at regular intervals. The per diem nurse will provide coverage for other nurses as needed, as well as gradually build their own caseload of patients by accepting new referrals or transfers. In addition to providing direct care, the nurse’s responsibilities include assessments, care planning, education, communication with prescribing pharmacies, communicating with other BrightStar team members, maintaining supply inventory, scheduling visits with patients, documentation of assessments and care, and completing required drug, pharmacy or procedure-specific training. Qualifications:
-CALIFORNIA RN license with no disciplinary action (Required)
-At least 2 years of recent, regular IV insertion experience (Required)
-Excellent IV insertion skills (Required)
-Home Health experience (preferred)
- BLS for Healthcare Providers (Required)
-Valid Driver’s License and reliable vehicle (Required)
-Mobile phone (Required) -Flexibility with schedule (Required)
-Weekend availability
-Willingness to drive at least 40+ miles

Schedule:
Responsibilities:
- Administer infusion therapy to patients in accordance with physician orders and established protocols Monitor patients during infusion therapy to ensure safety and proper response to treatment
- Assess and document patient's condition before, during, and after infusion therapy
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and their families on infusion therapy procedures, potential side effects, and self-care techniques
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records, including documentation of medications administered and patient responses.
Requirements:
- RN Degree
- Peripheral IV and CVAD access and management skills
- Minimum 2 year nursing experience with background in infusion therapy
- Current nursing license for applicable state
- Experience in care/visit notes & re-assessments
- Excellent customer service skills

Pay: $50.00 - $65.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
