Position Description:

The Production Print Support Specialist is responsible for working with the Production Print Sales Specialist to generate and maximize production print sales opportunities. The PPSS will perform the Installation and Training of all Production Print software and equipment at the customer site. They will also provide support to clients, sales, service and Marco internal customers. Providing a high level of customer education, satisfaction and retention is a main focus for this position.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform on site presales visits with Production Print Sales Specialist when requested
  • Perform preparation work and assist with Production Print and Color Demo’s
  • Perform necessary Self-development and training to achieve and maintain expert status
  • Perform installation of Print Controllers and Production Print equipment
  • Perform installation of Command Workstation and/or other relevant software tools
  • Perform basic and advanced onsite training on any Fiery or Creo color units
  • Perform basic and advanced onsite training on any color devices or production print equipment
  • Consult with sales representatives and be the “Expert” on the variable data print
  • Assist territory with non-production installs when assistance is needed
  • Perform sales rep training on color and production print models
  • Create and managed training tools to facilitate effective and efficient training and support
  • Supply sales leads into Production Print Specialist and other sales reps
  • Assist sales in customer services issues with color/print problems
  • Assist service as s resource for color/print problems
  • Assist internal customers (Marco staff) with Mac and print issues
  • Accurately record time, call notes, and install/training notes in E-Automate Remote Tech

Required Qualifications:

  • Color Expertise which includes advance program knowledge (IE: Quark, Adobe, and other high end graphic programs)
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and to operate with changing priorities
  • Demonstrate ability to deal effectively and professionally with all types of people and situations
  • Demonstrate computer proficiencies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • Experience with networking and printing with Macintosh computers
  • Previous training experience
