We are seeking a highly-motivated and experienced Air Vehicle Operator/Air Vehicle Pilot with extensive Group 3 (Large UAS) pilot experience, preferably flying the RQ-23 TigerShark, to work as part of a Research & Development unmanned aircraft team at Yuma Proving Grounds. Duties include: Ground Control Station (GCS) setup, GCS preflight, software configuration, air vehicle operator, perform preventive maintenance on GCS, perform pre, post and mission support including assisting aircraft technician, payload operator/technician and external pilot in flight mission duties. Assist payload technician in processing data. Monitor flight telemetry while in manual flight mode.
Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of Group 3 unmanned air vehicle pilot operations. Must be proficient in the operation of the Piccolo autopilot system and well versed in software associated with unmanned air vehicle operations. Knowledge of regulations for unmanned air vehicle operations in national airspace (FAA Part 107 certified). Must have advanced knowledge of flight concepts.
FAA Certified Flight Instructor certification desired. RQ-23 TigerShark experience a big plus.
