OVERALL JOB PURPOSE
Headquartered in Henderson, Nevada, ProCapsLaboratories. a leading provider of additive-free vitamin supplements, is lookingfor a Director of Product Development. You’ll be responsible for the overall creation, coordination, andexecution of the company’s formulation process of new and existing products.Additionalduties will include working closely with CEO, Research, Process Engineering,Procurement, Production, Quality Assurance (QA), and Quality Control (QC) inmanaging product costs and adherence to formulated specifications.

OTHER ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
o Oversight of department’s corporate meeting involvement.
o Department Administration:
§ Accomplish department goals by managingstaff, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring progress
§ Generate protocols and ensure adherence; deviseplan for future action
§ Provide effective leadership and direct thework of subordinates; carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance withthe corporate policies and applicable laws
§ Develop budget
o Contribute to and support the corporatequality initiatives by planning, communicating and encouraging team andindividual contributions toward quality-improvement efforts
o Participate in pre-formulation, formulation,and reformulation of new and existing products
o Lead the department to source high qualityraw materials that meet corporate demands
o Implement pilot scale production andvalidation processes
o Closely work with CEO, QA, Procurement, andProduction to ensure that finished products meet the corporate goal
o Final review and approval of all formulas toinclude: new and existing product Formulations
o Maintain accurate formula costs
o Ensure current raw material and componentcosts are maintained in system
o Assist Procurement, QA, and QC in:
§ Manage all raw materials specifications
§ Identify new or improved raw materials
§ Recommended storage of raw materials basedupon usage, material type, and heat sensitivity
§ Review of all raw materials vendors; ensurevendor quality by dealing proactively with vendor non-conformance and providingsuggestions for alternate suppliers
o Assist CEO on various projects, as assigned
