Since 1983, Valle Vista Health System, a 132 bed facility located in Greenwood, Indiana, has been providing high-quality behavioral health care to the community. We offer care for a broad range of psychiatric and addiction disorders. We provide care to adults, and to patients as young as age five. Our programs include inpatient, outpatient and medication-assisted treatment for adults, and residential and inpatient treatment for children and adolescents. These programs are designed to help adults, children and teens learn the necessary skills to regain confidence, heal and successfully function at home, work, school and in their communities.

The Assistant Director of Intake is responsible for performing the duties of an Intake Clinician as well as overseeing the functioning of the Access Center in accordance with current standards of mental health practices and facility policy, goal and objectives. Duties include performance of initial evaluations as well as coordinating patient flow, updating bedboards and ensuring census is completed, monitoring direct referrals, and ensuring that general intake work is completed appropriately during their time of supervision.

Job Requirements
Education: Masters Degree in social work, mental health or behavioral sciences or related field. Licensed in field preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license.

Experience: Minimum of three years experience in direct clinical practice in a psychiatric/mental, health/chemical dependency setting, and at least 2 years of management experience required

Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the state of Indiana, preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license.

Additional Information: Experience in patient assessment, referral, treatment planning and communication with external review organization or comparable entities.
