We have 1 full time .9 (72 hours per two weeks) position available in quality/cardiac rehab. This position is 28 hours a week as a Staff Development Coordinator/Employee Health and 8 hours (Fridays) a week in cardiac rehab. The Staff Development Coordinator is responsible for developing, evaluating and validating competency of staff. The Staff Development Coordinator will assist with the orientation and ongoing education of staff, and will maintain appropriate records of education, training, skills and experience. The Staff Development Coordinator will also coordinate clinical rotations and requests for clinical education from outside organizations. The Cardiac Rehabilitation RN will be responsible for the ongoing implementation of the cardiac rehabilitation program, cardiac stress testing program and cardiac monitoring program. The Employee Health Nurse assists the Chief Quality Officer in implementing the Employee Health Program. These responsibilities include surveillance, implementing vaccine-preventable disease control measures, administration of vaccines and Mantoux tests, documentation and providing education associated with employee health issues.
Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current Minnesota license, certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS (American Heart Association). Instructor training for ACLS, BLS, & PALS to be completed within one year of date of hire. Previous experience with electronic health record. Experience with Epic/Excellian preferred. Ability to interact in a positive and cooperative manner with courtesy and respect towards co-workers, patients, and other customers. Must be able to analyze and interpret cardiac rhythms and cardiac monitoring strips. Must demonstrate ability to take manual vital signs.
