The Material Handler primary responsibilities are focused inthe Precision Cleaning Area, handling, cleaning, and preparing parts that are to be assembled into precision instrumentation. The position requires attention to detail, following clearly defined procedures, careful handling of delicate components, maintaining a clean and organized work area.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Basic Windows based computer skills, with ERP knowledge being beneficial.
Read and follow clearly defined procedures and follow verbal instructions to complete tasks.
Comply with company health and safety policies.
Must be able to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
Daily maintenance of equipment and the work area, sustaining a clean and orderly environment (5S).
Attention to detail and a systematic approach to coordinating workload.
Constantly stand and walk throughout the workday.
Willing to work overtime when needed including weekends.
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment would be advantageous
Ability to utilize interpersonal and communication techniques, working in a team environment and handling requests from several departments.
Ability to read work instructions and procedures in English
Ability to follow written instructions in English
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
High School diploma or equivalent
Vocational or Trade School training or equivalent
