Job Purpose
Superior Fence & Rail is an industry leader with 100+ branches across the United States. Our goal is to become the #1 residential fence contractor in the Hudson Valley in the next five years, with customers that love us, and a team excited about growing and the challenges and benefits it provides.
In this role you are the primary point of contact for customers once the install has been scheduled. You will oversee the installation, schedule the crews and resolve any and all the issues that arise. This is a salaried position, typical hours are between 7am and 5pm, and can vary based on seasonality and installation requirements. We are a results driven company, so the most important thing is that the job is completed.
Customer service will play a large role in your everyday duties, your goal is to make the install process smooth and pleasurable for the crews, office, and customer and to get the customer to leave a positive review and refer others to Superior Fence & Rail of the Hudson Valley.
The Superior candidate will have a combination of technical competence, strong character, emotional awareness, leadership, strong work ethic, and desire to personally grow and gain new skills while supporting the team.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and oversee all subcontractors and crews
- Complete pre and post installation walkthroughs with the customer
- Make sure Superior Fence and Rail quality is maintained by all crews
- Schedule work for and provide support for crews
- Be a liaison between install crews, warehouse and office
- Manage customer interactions in the field and let customer know you are their point of contact for any and all issues.
- Lay out all fencing lines, confirm job information is clear for install crews and walk the property with the homeowners prior to the install
- Place SFR sign in yard upon initial visit and then post install
- Place door knockers on homes within view of the install house
- Install our logo placard on all completed fences
- Obtain positive reviews from customers
- Schedule crews for their warranty work in conjunction with the Office Manager
- Perform basic repairs, warranty work, and install small fences as needed
- Take required training to increase skills and knowledge: no dig, gate operators.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Support sales team members with technical questions on potential projects
- Work with Sales Manager and Production Manager to continually refine product offering
- Work with General Manager and Office Manager to develop procedures for scenarios such as but not limited to:
- 1) Warranty work
- 2) Organizing Departures of Sub crews and In-house crews
- 3) Constructing KEY Checklists for daily and common procedures at SFR
- 4) Scheduling

Qualifications, Experience, and Education
- 4+ years in a service/installation related field/industry in a management/leadership role with 10+ direct reports
- 2+ years experience building fence
- Emotionally aware and sensitive, yet fair, firm, clear and grounded.
- Polished and professional in demeanor
- Proficient with computer and technology (preferably with Google G-Suite)
- Valid DL and reliable transportation
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to interpret, obey and supervise others regarding applicable safety regulations
- Ability to read building plans and give and follow instructions
- Self-starter that requires minimal supervision
- Must possess valid driver’s license & good driving record and reliable transportation
- Take background check
- Clear driving record
- Ability to perform job duties such as heavy lifting, 80lbs, and working in the heat
- Ability to problem solve as they arise
- Spanish language skills a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
