The Health Department is seeking a dynamic individual to serve as Fiscal Coordinator. The
Fiscal Coordinator in the Health Department is an administrative and supervisory position
responsible for directing the total fiscal operations of the Department’s three Bureaus. The Fiscal
Coordinator must ensure complete financial accountability for personnel, services, supplies,
capital, contracts, grants and donations in accordance with county, state and federal auditing
requirements. Administratively, this position provides direct supervision to four fiscal staff and
indirect supervision to departmental staff with fiscal responsibilities.

Key responsibilities of the position include oversight, coordination, quality assurance, staff
allocation, training and technical assistance to ensure that best practices are used for financial
processes, fiscal grant management, recordkeeping, budgeting, and reporting.

This position requires a strong working knowledge of GAAP, budgets and spreadsheets, the
ability to prepare and present financial statements, to interpret grant budgeting requirements, and
to participate in government audits. Knowledge of county, human resources, and departmental
policies and procedures, and the ability to support and accurately present these policies within
the department is essential.

The individual filling this position must have strong customer service and interpersonal skills,
excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to maintain high accuracy under tight
deadlines, and to prioritize workload and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

The successful candidate for this position will at a minimum hold a bachelor’s degree in
Accounting, Business Management, or a related field with six years of progressive relevant
experience and significant supervisory experience. Master’s degree preferred.

This position requires a Report of Criminal History from the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP);
Child Abuse History Clearance from the Department of Human Services (Child Abuse); and
Fingerprint based federal criminal history submitted through the Pennsylvania State Police or its
authorized agent (FBI).

Position Type: Full-Time / Exempt

Salary Information: Salary range available beginning at $51,364.04 annually based on education
and experience.

Shift: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Weekly Hours: 35
