The Account Manager is the principal contact between the agency and the client and is responsible for ensuring all deliverables are met. This team member works cross-functionally to develop and execute communications, marketing, and PR strategies and tactics that help our clients reach their goals.

KNB Communications is 100% remote. You can work from anywhere if you have dependable internet and are willing to keep central or east coast hours.
Roles and responsibilities:
1. Client management + communication
- Own the success of the accounts you manage, ensuring deliverables, creating strategic direction, and meeting client’s goals and expectations.
- Cultivate strong relationships with clients, industry leaders, freelancers, KNB vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm in client communications
- Offer new ideas and initiatives to the team
- Run biweekly and ad hoc client meetings
- Own project trackers and update them weekly
- Onboard new clients
- Create timelines and project trackers for new accounts
2. Client service delivery
- Direct account support (PR, marketing, freelancers, etc.) to secure deliverables
- Set and influence strategy
- Set KPIs for accounts and communicate the status
- Ensure scopes of work are on track and on time
3. KNB operations
- Maintain an average 70%-80% contribution margin (retainer vs. expenses) per account.
- Look for opportunities to upsell
- Report account standing and deliverable status to clients
- Project and update freelancer hours
- Track account expenses and update invoice sheet
- Assist with new business research, proposal writing, and presentations as needed.

Must have:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a marketing or communications field
- 10+ years of PR, marketing, and/or communications management, combined with project management experience
- Strategic planner and effective implementer
- Ability to maintain and foster relationships with clients and team members
- Deadline-driven and understand how to prioritize and adapt under pressure
- Knowledge of best practices in the marketing, communications, media, and PR space
- Collaborative, creative, and cool
Nice to have:
- Experience working in healthcare, health tech, pharma, &/or life sciences
- Agency experience
- Experience with software such as Critical Mention, Cision, PR Newswire, SEM Rush, and HubSpot
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance challenges for drug commercialization

Pay: $75,000.00 - $98,000.00 per year
