SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Every team member of the C Spire Crew is charged with bringing our strategic vision of being and becoming known as the BEST in our industry(s) to life. Work in the Brand Services & Commerce department, Systems Integration group to provide and maintain highly specialized service-oriented solutions and other applications. Work independently and collectively in the evaluation and design of new services as well as support current applications and systems. Provide technical leadership to software developers. Position may include supervisory responsibilities. Manage projects and represent the Systems Integration group in planning sessions with other groups and departments within the company. Provide on-call support when needed. Respond to System Support team with escalation requests in a timely manner that ensures customer satisfaction. Track issues from production support to ensure long-term resolutions are achieved. Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a complex, dynamic technical environment

Manage projects and participate in planning and requirements gathering sessions as a representative of Brand Services & Commerce department, Systems Integration group to analyze, document, and obtain approval on user requirements. Prioritize tasks and assign trouble tickets to software developers, and monitor to ensure timely and accurate completion. Provide technical assistance and leadership to the software developers and other systems analysts. This is demonstrated through proactive mentoring, structured training, and professional development for yourself and software developers. Provide highly specialized management in the design and implementation of new tools and technological solutions along with assisting manager with the development and enforcement of software development standards. This position is available as a Systems Analyst I or Systems Analyst II, depending on experience.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
SYSTEMS ANALYST I, SYSTEMS INTEGRATION -

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Baccalaureate degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent education plus several years of work experience in software development, system analysis, and design required.
  • Experience with development of Service Oriented Systems strongly preferred
  • Java, Spring Framework, JSON, REST, XML, SOAP, and SQL experience preferred.
  • UNIX operating system experience preferred.
  • Ability to effectively troubleshoot system problems required.
  • Working knowledge of system development life cycle methodologies, server-side programming languages, and UNIX/Windows operating systems expected.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills required.
  • Background must demonstrate the ability to operate effectively within a complex, dynamic environment.
SYSTEMS ANALYST II, SYSTEMS INTEGRATION -

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Baccalaureate degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent education plus several years of work experience in software development, system analysis, and design required.
  • Extensive experience with development of Service Oriented Systems required
  • Java, Spring Framework, JSON, REST, XML, SOAP and SQL experience strongly preferred.
  • UNIX operating system experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to effectively troubleshoot system problems required.
  • Several years of working knowledge of system development life cycle methodologies, server-side programming languages, and UNIX/Windows operating systems expected.
  • Prior experience as a team lead required.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills required.
  • Background must demonstrate the ability to operate effectively within a complex, dynamic environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS: Must be able to sit for long periods and use computer keyboard and/or mouse while viewing computer screen. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule shared by other department members.
