Via Brasil Steakhouse in Las Vegas is seeking a dedicated Sous Chef to join our dynamic team. As a top-rated restaurant known for our unique concept of an All You Can Eat Style Churrascaria, we are looking for a talented individual to contribute to our culinary excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in all kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food production and presentation.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating to meet the restaurant's standards.
- Manage inventory levels efficiently, including ordering and stock rotation.
- Supervise kitchen staff during shifts, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and specials.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations at all times.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Support in training and mentoring kitchen staff members.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or relevant role in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, shift coordination, and kitchen operations.
- Familiarity with restaurant management practices, catering services, and menu planning.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience in banquet preparation, bartending, or related areas is a plus.
