ATNi's subsidiary group (Fireminds) is looking for a self-starter with exceptional communication skills to join the Miami office as the newest Systems Engineer. The ideal candidate for this role will possess strong technical skills and ability to learn new technologies quickly.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Development or relevant area.
  • +5 years of relevant experience with Windows Server Administration, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft IIS, Microsoft Clustering, Virtualization administration (Hyper-V and VMWare), Storage (SAN, NAS, DAS), Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, NTP, SNMP, and syslog.
  • Operational experience preferably working for IT consulting, management consulting, or technology solutions focused service provider(s) in several roles including technology strategy and architecture, service delivery management, and management of complex, global IT organizations OR equivalent experience with “buy side” (client) managing large scale, complex, operations in global or major Cloud, Shared Services or outsourced environments.
  • Extensive knowledge of OS (Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2016).
  • HP Hardware and Software experience.
  • Citrix Director, Xen APP, Xen Desktop and NetScaler Gateway expert.
  • Ticket management; issue tracking, change log management.
Functions and Tasks:
  • Build new development, test and production environments utilizing HP Blade servers for Hyper-V and VMware.
  • Patch and update Windows and VM systems.
  • Install, configure and manage Hyper-V hosts, Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager, VMware ESX host, VCenter 6.5/6.7, VMWare VSphere Web Client, servers on HP Blades.
  • Install and configure infrastructure related software such as DNS, LDAP, DHCP, TACACS+ and repositories for patching and updates.
  • Perform daily task of all virtual environments to include building new virtual machines, updating DNS and troubleshooting system problems.
  • Setup NetScaler for load balancing and access gateway to Citrix VDI.
  • Setup and configure VM client systems using NETAPP.
  • Introduce and integrate new technologies into existing data center environments.
  • Analyze system logs and identify potential issues with computer systems.
  • Monitor virtual Infrastructure increasing and decreasing resources based on requirements.
  • Answer technical queries and assist developers and end users.
  • Perform high-level systems analysis, evaluation, design, integration and implementation of various virtualization (Hyper-V/VMware), compute (HP Blade Center), storage (Netapp) and storage networking (Brocade) technologies.
  • Build, manage and support highly available, secure and scalable production and lab infrastructure (compute and storage) in company global data centers and public clouds.
  • Create/maintain documentation of the infrastructure and configurations (architecture diagrams, procedures, etc.) and provide training to relevant staff (within and outside the immediate team)
  • Perform maintenance and changes after hours inside maintenance windows.
  • Be a project team lead working with cross functional teams for enterprise initiatives.
  • Implement migration strategies, implementation plans, risk mitigation plans, test plans, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor when dealing with internal and external customers.
  • Evaluate, test, and document technology and solutions aligned with client business initiatives.
  • Participate in and lead meetings.
  • Assist with development of proposal and design of solutions.
  • Rotational on-call to provide 24/7x365 support for network escalations.
