Team-oriented Medical Assistant/Receptionist for a busy OB/GYN Private Practice located on the St Mary Medical Center Campus. Successful candidate will have prior experience, preferably in women's health care, and exhibit flexibility, ability to multi-task and desire to work with a broad variety of patients, physicians and staff. Excellent customer service skills a must, with meticulous attention to detail. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: greeting patients, answering multi-line phones, working the front desk (patient check in/check out, scheduling, co-pay collection), obtaining vitals, updating patient histories, assisting physicians during patient visits, maintaining an efficient patient flow, phlebotomy, injections, performing all necessary follow-up in a timely and accurate manner while exhibiting quality care. Successful candidate must be proficient in the use of computers as our office uses an EMR and type a minimum of 30 wpm. In addition, candidates should possess a solid understanding of medical terminology, good customer service skills, phone experience, and excellent written/verbal communication skills. Will be responsible for maintaining/cleaning of equipment/instruments and exam rooms, re-stocking, and troubleshooting. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Will require extended periods of standing and walking (with little to no sitting for up to five hours).

The position is Full-Time, at least 40 hours per week Monday through Friday. Hours vary due to the nature of the practice. Must be able to work early mornings as early as 6:30 am and late evenings which could be 11 pm. Schedules typically run in 8 hour shifts to allow for set up and clean up. Benefits are provided.
