Using a voice-recognition application, Captioning Assistants support communications for deaf or hard of hearing callers using a Captioned Telephone. Primary responsibility would be to listen to the speaker and repeat what they are saying into the voice recognition software. The software then transcribes your spoken words into written captions. This works similar to closed captioning you see on TV. Candidates must be available to work between 12:30pm - 11:15pm. Full and part-time hours available. Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts will be required. Training class starts 6/17/19. Training schedule will be Monday - Friday, 9:00pm - 3:00pm and will last 3-4 weeks.
