As a Recreation Attendant, you would be responsible for ensuring a clean, safe and fun environment for guests at the Sports Center and Pool in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service.

Essential Functions:
  • Overseeing the Cabana and recreational center during the summer.
  • Responsible for ensuring smooth operations during Cabanas business hours
  • Greet guests and attend to their pool-related needs including, but not limited to, getting fresh towels, relocating chairs and/or umbrellas, confirming registration and issuing recreational equipment, etc.
  • Clean the pool area including, but not limited to, ashtrays, furniture, tables, decks, pool tiles, shower tiles, slide tiles, rocks and cabanas
  • Collect and replenish pool towels and monitor inventory to minimize loss
  • Maintain equipment including, but not limited to, umbrellas, speakers, rafts, pool toys, etc.
  • Monitor use of the facility and address and/or report potential hazards
  • Respond to guest inquiries and service issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
  • Perform general Recreation duties, as needed

The Bartender is responsible to provide all guests at the bar with an entertaining and enjoyable experience, through quality service, in the most efficient manner at all times. To prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage orders according to specified recipes and standards.

Essential Functions:
  • Performs complete bar setup, including ice, fresh garnish, glassware, etc.
  • Welcomes and greets all customers in the bar in a courteous, helpful manner.
  • Ensures all customers have proper I.D. and are over 21 years of age.
  • Knows all drink recipes, wines by the glass, and menu and prices to effectively promote to guests.
  • Performs duties in accordance with established company policies for drink size, recipe, and proper glassware.
  • Mixes all orders for alcoholic beverages, using appropriate glassware / stemware.
  • Maintains issued bank of a pre-determined amount. Is responsible for all overage or shortage of cash.
  • Assumes responsibility for guest checks, cash register procedures, and completion of daily sales reconciliation report.
  • Strives to maintain high customer satisfaction and addresses all guests’ feedback with utmost confidence, grace, and concern for guest satisfaction.
  • Provides professional dialogue with guests and utilizes up-sell practices.
  • Completes assigned side work and performs other duties as instructed by the Manager.
  • Practices “clean as you go” techniques of service for the bar area.
  • Performs nightly wash of bar floor and pulling of bar mats.

JOB QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

The following describes the general qualifications and physical, sensory and mental abilities normally associated with performing the essential functions of this position.

Education and Experience:
  • 1-2 yrs exp. preferred
  • Must be able to communicate & interact professionally with members & employees in English language.
  • Able to move fast and multi-task in a fast paced, high stress / pressure environment (Heat and Action)
  • Frequent Standing for extended periods of time.
  • Regular Lifting up to 50 Lbs.
