The Paralegal will work directly with our General Counsel and Corporate Attorney to prepare for upcoming cases, contribute in fact-finding projects and is responsible for developing and maintaining the index system for all case files.

What you’ll do here:

Management of legal documents to include litigation files and contracts.

Support small in-house litigation matters.

File court documents (state, federal and bankruptcy) and docket case deadlines.

Conduct preliminary review of contracts and highlight potential areas of concern.

Track litigation and other deadlines and help ensure timely completion of tasks.

Administer form documents within internal business lines.

Assist with preparation of subpoena responses, garnishments, answers, and other filings.

Partner with retail network to respond to legal questions from front-line employees.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

What you’ll need:

High School Diploma or GED.

Paralegal certification or related areas of legal study in an associate’s or bachelor’s program, preferred.

3+ years of paralegal experience required.

Law firm litigation setting with docketing experience.

Strong knowledge of legal terminology.

Understanding of federal and state rules of legal procedure and substantive law.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently.

Legal experience within financial institution, preferred.

Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
