Our not-for-profit organization is looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to serve as our Education Coordinator. The ideal candidate will have expertise in administration and the ability to coordinate instruction and student activities. The Education Coordinator is responsible for scheduling all classes, and must have experience working with a diverse student body.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for developing and implementing the Agency’s Educational Child Development Programs for all programs.
Supervise all classroom staff on an ongoing basis.
Coordinate and assign Family Workers (FW) and students to classrooms.
Assist in the collaboration of parents, teachers and Family Workers for the good of the program.
Coordinate children’s group assignments.
Plan and conduct In-Service Trainings.
Act as a resource person for teachers.
Plan and conduct Parent Orientation.
Assist teachers with formal parent/teacher conferences.-develop schedules
Contact parents and referral agencies regarding children’s welfare be it medical, attendance, educational, discipline, verbally and in writing.
Monitor communications between teachers, FW’s,parents and the board of education (BOE) if and when necessary.
Attend outside meetings that are relevant to the good of the Agency.
Coordinate the purchase of classroom supplies and equipment and maintain inventory.
Conduct monthly meetings for all teaching staff, as well as team teaching meetings
Work with the nutrition staff to ensure that the food program is meeting nutritional needs of children.
Submit monthly progress reports to the Executive Director.
Plan and coordinate field trips for all programs.
Evaluate all teaching staff annually and submit to the Executive Director.
Coordinate and pre approve the submitting of teaching staff vacations and pto.
Maintain ample coverage in classrooms.
Observe, evaluate, and make monthly best practice recommendations to teachers.
Maintain a resource room for teaching staff.
Work with the FW’s in assuring parent involvement.
Interview and make recommendations to the Executive Director for teaching positions.
Coordinate with human resource coordinator orientation for new teaching staff; including job description, staff rules, personnel policies, benefits, and agency manual.
Coordinate Special Projects for the good of the agency.
Ensure that House Policies and Regulations are followed.
Assume day to day management of the Agency in absence of Assistant and Executive Director.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,170.27 per year
