As an IT Architect in Futurewei, You will play a key role in redefining our IT system architecture as we continue our migration from a traditional onsite physical to hybrid cloud infrastructure. You will plan, execute, and document all aspects of the system specific project you are working on. We have a supportive team who will look for your leadership to evolve our existing IT infrastructure. This job is a perfect fit for the self-motivated individual who is capable of presenting new IT initiative to the business leadership.

Responsibilities:
  • Handle Huawei internal electronic flow process in purchasing equipment, system configuration, and server patching.
  • Working with other IT engineers remotely to establish new IT system environment, direct system installation, troubleshoot system issues, and enforce company system standards.
  • Define and establish a baseline and future cloud architecture based on business needs.
  • Draft a roadmap of actions and requirements to get to a mature enterprise hybrid cloud model.
  • Support private GPU cloud.
  • Present new IT system architect solutions in non-technical language to business leaders.
  • Identify business needs with technical and security constraints.
  • Identify future system risks and design a solution with the rest of the IT team members.
  • Initiate and manage Huawei internal electronic flow process in purchasing system equipment.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Experience in leading IT system implementations that have stakeholders from 2 or more departments.
  • Strong understanding of the concept of computing cloud and virtualization.
  • Hands on experience in GPU card installation and configuration.
  • A solid foundation in IP subnet and VLAN.
  • Basic understanding of C programming language.
  • Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • At least 5 years of experience in IT system engineering, administration, and operation.
  • Bachelor degree.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience to achieve success in large companies that require a clear definition of work processes.
  • Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Experience of managing a project based on the direction from the sponsor in different time zone.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Chinese.
