Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Compliance Specialist Contractor

Our job is to cost-effectively assist our clients in balancing the bottom-line with the local, state, and federal regulatory requirements, both new and old. Our team provides comprehensive EHS services tailored to each client's unique needs. For this position, the selected applicant will enjoy paid travel to various states while setting their own schedule. We are looking for a remote, part-time professional who is capable of travel. This position will become available in August 2024.
In this position, as an important part of our EHS Team, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Work on independent and collaborative projects
- Travel to client sites to complete environmental assessments
- Develop Spill, Prevention, Control & Countermeasure Plans (SPCCP)
- Author Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (Phase I ESA)
- Develop emergency evacuation plans
- Draft site plans with stormwater flow
- Monitor and update project schedules
A successful applicant will possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in an environmental field
- Educational course history related to environmental, health and safety programs o E.g., occupational safety, chemistry of hazardous materials, environmental law, sustainability, industrial hygiene, etc.
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Enjoy traveling
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Professional certifications preferred, but not required

Compensation and benefits:
- This is a contractor position paid either hourly or per project
- Hourly rates are between $35.00 and $40.00
- This is a remote, work-from-home position
