Position: Automotive Engineering Project Manager

As we expand our operations, we are searching for a talented and extremely motivated Automotive Engineering Project Manager to provide leadership and expertise in the design phase of interior automotive parts.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-orientated Engineering Project Manager with experience in the Automotive industry to lead a team of engineers. The incumbent will play a crucial role in ensuring the automotive designs meet the customers’ specifications. The individual will have the ability to lead and mentor the engineering staff and who can be hands-on when needed.
Responsibilities
Candidate MUST be bi-lingual in Korean/English
· Oversee a team of Assistant Project Managers, Installation Supervisors and Lead Engineers to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications
· Provide project leadership, communication, and coordination
· Respond to the customer needs (i.e. design changes, schedule updates, etc.)
· Identify, and manage the project goals, scope, deliverables, budget, staffing and schedule
· Establish project expectations, procedures, and standards
· Plan, organize, and manage the work of project staff
· Work cross-functionally with the material, production, development and quality departments
· Engage in program design and development stages for the launch of a new car project
· Periodically consult with the customer on the new car development status
· Organize and interpret project related materials to incorporate into new design features
· Complete daily reports, project logs, and change orders in a timely manner
· Document and submit weekly reports on project activities, progress, and budget activity to management
· Identifies, analyzes and recommends engineering alternatives to issues or problems
· Performs statistical analysis to ensure compliance with specifications
· Participates and may lead manufacturing feasibility brainstorming meetings
· Understands and maintains compliance with industry standards
· Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
· Mechanical engineering (Bachelor’s degree) or higher or related field
· Minimum 3-years’ experience as project manager in automotive related industries
· Bilingual in Korean and English is a MUST
· Experience in APQP process
· Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
· Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
· Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%
· Hours 9:00 am – 6:00 pm with the ability to work flexible hours to coordinate with engineers across various time zones, including internationally
