Sales Channel Strategy interns at Cox are an integral part of the Sales organization. As an intern you will be trained in the fundamental tools used to support Cox’s strategic business objectives.Supported by senior staff members, you will work on a variety of initiatives and processes.

You will develop your strategic thinking and analytical acumen working on a variety of projects that help assess areas of opportunity for the primary sales channels including call centers and retail. Project examples may include: sales channel distribution strategy, lead management optimization, and rep level assessments of performance and identification of success metrics. In addition, you will develop a strong professional network with the Cox family of companies, which includes Cox Communications, Cox Auto Group (Auto Trader, Manheim, Kelley Blue Book), Cox Media (Television and Radio stations) and others.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

§Lead initiatives to develop team’s analytic and functional capabilities

§Influence critical business decisions through analysis and modeling

§Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Business Operations and Finance to ensure quality and consistency of messaging

§Identify and utilize opportunities to increase efficiency and improve team processes

§Distill key business insights from large data sets and Enterprise Data Warehouse

Qualifications

§ Minimum:
o Basic analytic skills

o Highly organized, detailed oriented, and fast learner

o Strong in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

o Attention to detail and ability to meet project timelines through good time management and workflow prioritization

o Superior oral and written communications skills

o A positive attitude, determination and humility

§ Preferred:
o All majors encouraged to apply, Industrial Engineering and Business majors are preferred

o Intermediate to advanced analytic skills

o MS Excel, SQL, Tableau, and Power Point are highly preferred

o Prior internship experience in a corporate environment is preferred
