Job Summary

Rockwell Collins’ Engineering Services is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Customer Service Engineer to join Rockwell Collins’ Army 160th Life Cycle Contract Support team at Hunter Army Airfield, GA. This team is comprised of 12 members at three primary locations within the US. This position requires a high level of customer service interaction with all echelons of Army personnel from enlisted to field grade officers and civilians dealing with aircraft systems integration, maintenance and hardware/software support and mobile ad hoc communications networks. This position also requires someone who can work independently but completely understand that every action they take can affect the team, their direct leadership and Rockwell Collins.

Job Responsibilities

Fielding maintenance questions via phone, email and in person regarding highly modified special operations aircraft pertaining to Rockwell Collins’ CAAS, CMS, AMS and other OEM hardware and software on board.
Supporting Common Avionics Architecture System (CAAS) on MH60M and MH47G ACFT.
Supporting Cockpit Management System (CMS) and Avionics Management System (AMS) on A/MH6M ACFT.
Other OEM products include but not limited to;
Embedded GPS/INU
Mass Memory Server
SRTV (Secure Real Time Video)
EOS, FLIR and Long Wave Infrared products
STT, ARC-231 and other communication devices
The ability to work through complex problems using engineering technical data, wiring diagrams, test equipment and aircraft manuals.
Use maintenance test stands in a lab environment to validate and verify (VAL/VER) RC and other OEM hardware complaints and repairs.
Use unique software tools to load system software into Rockwell Collins and other OEM products and to analyze software systems. Example include:
Network analyzers, serial communication terminals such as Putty or Wireshark.
Communicate with team members in other, sometimes remote, locations assisting them with their responsibilities similar to above as needed.
Configure, install and test various Mobile Ad Hoc Networks.
Assist with the installation of Airborne Mission Networking equipment.
Work with various entities to integrate new software and hardware into aircraft understanding Rockwell Collins’ policies and industry requirements for use, safety and other considerations.
The ability to travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations to support the customer as required.
Assist with logistics of hardware movement and management as required by the customer and repair process.
Develop operations and test procedures for various Mobile Ad Hoc Network radios and full motion video systems.
Be able to prepare formal or informal training and have the ability to present the material on any of the above requirements.
Liaison between Rockwell Collins’ program management, engineering and the customer.
Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline or in the absence of a degree six years of related experience
6+ years of experience in related field of expertise either in the military as an aviation avionics/electrical technician or as a civilian in a related field.
A secret security clearance is required along with the ability to obtain a top secret clearance.
The ability to obtain a passport.
Proven ability to interact with customers.
Proven ability to work autonomously while simultaneously working within a team.
Avionics maintenance experience on MH-47G, MH-60M and/or A/MH-6M Aircraft or other aircraft with Rockwell Collins hardware and software installed is preferred.
Networking experience with products and services such as TW-400 TSME and TSMX, 117G/152A (ANW2, SRW), Wave Relay, Link-16, TACLAN (Tactical Local Area Networks) is preferred.
