The Position: Senior Vice President, Finance and Accounting
This role reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for leading the finance and accounting team, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and cash management for the Company. In addition to developing and implementing best-practice accounting procedures, you will be an integral member of the capital markets team, developing financial models and assisting in the securement of outside capital.
You will be one of the first 30 employees of a fast-growing company. As an equity partner within the Company, you will be responsible for leading our first-class finance and accounting team. You will play a significant role in attracting and securing outside capital that helps the Company achieve its loan origination and asset management strategy.
You will be the point person between finance, operations and technology to implement scalable systems which support the needs of our growing business.

Performance management and mentorship of our accounting team, including a Controller, Treasurer and staff accountants.
Ensure efficient capital utilization by managing cash needs and deployment.
Develop financial models and presentations to be used in capital raising activities.
Participate in the negotiations and securement of equity and debt for the Company.
Help optimize the Company's P/L by identifying cost saving and revenue opportunities via robust FP&A modeling.
Lead technology implementation initiatives which provide scalable solutions for our finance and operations activity.
Lead improvements to our accounting procedures and processes.
Resolve day-to-day finance and accounting issues.
Develop, prioritize and lead special projects which add value to the overall organization.
Qualifications and Experience
Finance or Accounting degree required, CPA preferred.
10+ years prior experience in real estate or financial service firm, preferably within lending.
Experience leading finance and accounting teams.
Experience raising outside debt and/or equity.
Experiencing implementing sophisticated accounting ERP systems.
Strong oral and written communications skills.
Technology proficient and adopter of change.
