Position: Recruiting Assistant (Lincoln County, MO)

Duties: The Recruiting Assistant (RA) is a Work at Home (WAH) position that promotes census jobs among community organizations and the public. These activities include:

  • Performs recruiting activities to ensure there is a sufficient pool of qualified applicants for temporary employment
  • Solicits space for use as training sites location
  • Maintains a positive relationship with Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) that donate space and provides other support to census recruiting programs
  • Identifies areas that may be difficult to recruit due to language barriers, cultural barriers or physical barriers
  • Meets with and distributes recruiting packets to state, local and tribal governments, local businesses, local public and state employment agencies, media outlets, community centers, religious groups and other appropriate sources to recruit for a variety of positions
  • Maintains good public relations with applicant referral and other employment sources
  • Periodically reviews existing recruitment materials ensuring the applicants are provided with a thorough explanation of the responsibilities of the position
  • Distributes flyers/posters at employment job fairs and performs other similar recruiting activities to recruit local residents
  • Monitor recruiting progress
  • Attend weekly meetings with Recruiting Managers and provide daily report of activities
  • Manage of supply/inventory of recruiting materials
  • The work schedule for this position is Mixed Tour. With a Mixed Tour work schedule, an employee may be changed between full-time, part-time and intermittent work schedules to accommodate fluctuating workloads and is subject to a signed agreement

Relocation will not be paid.

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have a valid Social Security number
  • Be a U.S. citizen
  • Have a valid email address

  • Pass a Census-performed criminal background check and a review of criminal records, including fingerprinting
  • Registered for Selective Service or have a qualifying exemption, if you are a male born after December 31, 1959 (
