How will you make an impact?

Supporting our Analytical Development Department by providing method development, validation or routine analyses in an Analytical Development and Chemistry/Bioanalytical Laboratory environment by following standard or industry best practices. Perform analytical methods as assigned for testing on samples, stability, environmental and production intermediates. Support internal development and/or manufacturing operations. Make detailed observations and reviews, document, and communicate test results. This is a 2nd shift position.

What will you do?

Conduct routine chemical and physical testing of pharmaceutical finished products, intermediates and stability samples by internally or externally developed and compendial test methods. .
Develop and execute validated test methods for pharmaceutical intermediate or finished products for strength, impurities, identity, and dissolution by HPLC, GC, dissolution, spectroscopy, and traditional quantitative analysis, utilizing HPLC, GC, LC/MS, dissolution, spectroscopy, and/or traditional wet chemical testing.
Recognize and report out-of-specification or unexpected results and non-routine analytical and product problems .
Perform daily instrument calibrations/verifications as required.
Clearly and accurately communicate the results of work by creating documentation of the testing/analysis/development and obtained results. Record and report results of analysis in accordance with prescribed lab procedures and systems.
Assist in preparing regulatory documents and other communications with outside agencies, clients, and/or colleagues from other corporate sites.
Contribute to writing or authoring of SOPs if needed.
Clean and organize work area, instrumentation, and testing materials. Clean HPLC and other systems/instruments after use.
Perform all duties in strict compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Laboratory Practices, and Safety guidelines. Maintain the necessary compliance status required by company and facility standards.
How will you get here?

Education

Bachelor’s degree or Master's degree with a concentration in Chemistry or Biology; Chemistry background preferred.
Experience

Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience (2-3 years of experience with Master's degree)
Experience with HPLC and Dissolution.
Experience performing method development and validation, chemical tests with chromatographic, spectroscopic, or other analytical techniques preferred
Experience with EMPOWER preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Good knowledge and understanding of chemistry and analytical instrumental technologies.
Good knowledge of qualitative and quantitative chemical or microbiological analysis.
Good problem-solving skills and logical approach to solving scientific problems.
Awareness of quality and regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry
Strong interpersonal and communications skills, written and oral
Routine use of MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Access, and MS Word is essential.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations.
Ability to apply mathematical operations, to such tasks as determination of test reliability, analysis of variance and correlation techniques.
