The Network Engineer designs, implements and monitors DuPage Medical Group (DMG) clinical and Administrative offices' network infrastructure for critical reliability and maximum uptime. As part of the Network team, the Network Engineer will be responsible to identify, create, and execute the processes and procedures required to maintain a high level of service for production network systems.

Design, implement and maintain (break/fix) all Network platform technologies including Cisco-based LAN, WAN, Wireless, and Security.
Create and maintain network infrastructure standards documentation as it relates to infrastructure systems design, configuration, support, and processes.
Conduct research, cost-benefit and return-on-investment analysis on proposed hardware, software and systems to justify recommendations, support purchasing efforts and aid management in making infrastructure design and architecture decisions.
Manage capacity and performance of the Network platform ensuring the integrity of the infrastructure.
Monitor, test, collect and analyze system performance statistical data to improve quality of the Network environment.
Diagnose and resolve complex configuration and troubleshooting issues within a multi-vendor infrastructure.
Documenting system requirements, release notes, test plans, training documentation, etc. as required by our project delivery methodology.
Coordinate with other administrative and support teams within DMG (i.e. compliance, patient accounts).
Support the Cisco IP telephony environment
Working on a number of projects and daily tasks in conjunction with groups both internal and external to DMG
Coordinate circuit turn up and troubleshoot carrier circuit issues.
Network closet build experience.

Healthcare experience preferred but not required

Undergraduate degree required and or relevant experience
CCNA is required; CCNP is preferred

5 years in implementation experience of primarily LAN/WAN infrastructure with CISCO products preferred.
5 years with experience using TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and similar products.
5 years of experience with networking equipment, management tools, and network analyzers.
Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex issues
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Must be able to work in team environment but can self-direct where necessary
Experience with Windows Servers
Load balance knowledge and experience - A plus
Cisco VOIP
Project Management experiences a plus but not required.
