The Camp Directoris responsible for all things pertaining to the c& programming, staffing, training,supplies, camper and parent interaction, and site ambiance. In addition to afull-time summer component, this job includes working hours in the spring,training and preparing for running camp and all necessary camp wrap-up leadinginto the Fall of 2020.

· Manages Summer Campoperations in its entirety

· Plans uniqueweekly themes for camps

· Hires specialistsupport staff for each week of camp

· Plans andimplements camp activities daily

· Trains andsupervises staff

· Performsadministrative responsibilities related to camp (collects student health forms,tracking expenses, etc.)


· ManagesSummer Camp operations smoothly and efficiently through visible managementpresence and leadership

· Ensureschildren's safety through continuous monitoring of safety and performancestandards, camp facilities, equipment and operational systems; ensure constantinteraction with children in your care

· Overseessummer camp operations including customer service, communication, marketing,program planning, and revenue tracking

· Managesthe financial performance of the camp through achievement of revenue targets,expense management, proper planning and forecasting, and retention

· Adheresto and enforces all health and safety standards; ensures Counselors adhere tohuman resource and work safety practices

· Communicatestimely and follows up as appropriate

· Provides a highcaliber of customer service by anticipating and addressing any camper or parentchallenges or concerns

· Communicates withparents daily, and as needed, makes sure they are up to date on what theirchildren are experiencing at camp, as well as posting photos on Facebook

· Ensures all staff,campers, and parents are safe and have a positive experience in our program

· Utilizesappropriate communication documents to request additional supplies and/ortalking with the administration about any issues or needs

· Sets up and packsup camp, ensuring that all needed materials are received and that anything tobe returned is done so at the camp’s closure

· Exhibits a strongvibe of fun with demonstrations through actions utilizing each of the key corevalues by which Serendipity School honors

· Creates a campculture and new traditions


· Minimum three (3) years of childcareoperations/management/supervisory experience

· Demonstrated experience creating andimplementing innovative children's programs or camps

· Ability to train and supervise staff

· Professional, friendly manner and excellentcustomer service attitude and abilities

· Strong verbal communication and conflictresolution skills

· Enthusiastic, responsible, and dependable teamplayer

· Self-motivated, takes initiative and willing toacquire new skills

· Well organized and detail oriented

· CPR certified and fingerprinted (Serendipitycan provide)
