Exponent's Human Factors Practice is currently hiring Research Assistants for our Menlo Park, CA office. Exponent’s Human Factors practice is currently hiring Analysts for our Menlo Park, CA Office. These individuals will assist with the planning and execution of user studies including scheduling, budgeting, cost management, and running participants.

Responsibilities for this position include:
Scheduling and participants and staff for user studies. This requires managing and allocating staffing resources across multiple projects to cover frequently changing client needs.

Moderating user studies with a wide-variety of participants at various locations around the Bay Area. This includes troubleshooting study execution issues in the field and proposing corrective actions.

Opportunity to travel domestically and internationally to support user studies.

Develop project management and execution strategy with consultants and clients to accomplish project goals.

Generate and review project budgets and progress reports. Provide contingency plans and strategies for areas that are not meeting benchmarks.

Frequently communicate progress updates and revisions of study protocol to clients, project managers, and executives within the firm.

Work in teams with senior consultants to develop full project proposals and budgets based on statement of work from the client.

Qualifications and skills for this position include:
B.S./B.A. or M.S./M.A. in Science, Engineering, or Pyschology-related fields

Prior experience with human subjects testing, usability testing, or surveys a plus

Prior experience with budgeting or project-management skills a plus

Ability to work in teams with a strong desire to contribute

Ability to interact effectively with both internal and external clients

Ability to travel frequently within the Bay Area

Ability to travel infrequently outside of the Bay Area

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong analytical thinking and real-time problem solving skills

Strong organizational skills

Prior experience with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
