The University of Chattanooga Foundation, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Director of Development at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga. Reporting to the Senior Director of Development for the Gary W. Rollins College of Business, the Assistant Director is responsible for the creation, implementation and periodic evaluation of an annual leadership giving program. This staff member will have an intense focus on building relationships through one-on-one visits and on-going communication with prospects, donors and volunteers within the Gary W. Rollins College of Business.
The Assistant Director will develop relationships with key external entities and stakeholders to further philanthropic donations to the university. This role will also cooperate with faculty, staff, and volunteers, when it is strategic and appropriate, to further relationships that lead to the successful solicitation of annual leadership gifts. Travel will be expected to conduct a minimum of 250 annual face-to-face donor visits.

Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required.
Experience: The ideal candidate will have experience conducting cold calling or sales, with preference given to those with higher education and personal one-on-one solicitation experience.
Job Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Computer competency and that of proficiency in MS Office suite applications required. Experience in the utilization of a relational database.
