The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing the replacement market distribution strategy for Firestone Agricultural Products. This individual will build market share position and grow volume by managing sales and marketing programs, developing and educating distribution partners and engaging through the dealer partners with end users to provide value solutions.
This position covers the Rocky Mountain region which includes primary markets in New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Mountana, Utah, and Idaho. Individuals must already live, or be willing to relocate within the territory - Denver is the most central location.
Facilitate the relationship between FSAG and our distribution partners to grow our respective business
Develop, implement and manage to annual account management plans for key distribution partners
Schedule meetings with Direct Dealers to discuss existing market conditions, pricing requirements and marketing/training opportunities to grow Firestone AG brand
Contribute to the development and refinement of company’s replacement market vision and strategy within your responsible geography
Oversee the utilization of FSAG marketing resources such as 2nd level OE Programs, COOP advertising funds and Firestone AG University training opportunities via dealer/end user events engage with new and existing customers to discuss their needs, and to explain how these needs could be met by specific products and services
Answer customer questions about products, prices, availability, or credit terms
Facilitate special pricing request to meet competition quote prices, and credit terms
Emphasize product features based on analyses of customers' needs and on technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations
Collaborate with peer salespeople to exchange information, such as selling strategies or marketing information
Perform continuous competitor and market analysis
Update and revise monthly forecast projections and be active in FSAG forecasting process to ensure right product at the right time and ability to meet customer demand
Perform administrative duties, monthly reports, keeping sales records, and filing expense account reports
Project positive external image of Bridgestone / Firestone brand
Attend local/regional/national Farm Shows and company meetings
Bachelors degree required, advanced degree a plus
5+ years of experience in sales or sales related field
Previous account management experience
Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven ability to lead through influence and negotiation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, Salesforce.com, and web based reporting
Experience in Agriculture or Tire industries
