We are searching for a new Sales/Business Development Manager to join the Lifting & Handling team at NOV. The new position will mainly operate in the Offshore Construction market and focus on heavy lift crane products. The ideal candidate would be mid-senior level, who is already established in this market, and is able to direct the company’s sales activities to help achieve corporate sales and profit objective, while developing the longer-term business strategies and programs for assuring long term success.

Responsibilities:
Participate in the development of sales strategies and short and long-range sales objectives

Develop or identify new sales opportunities

Lead and coordinate contract negotiations for a successful close

Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and their management teams by providing information, guidance, and support;

Recommends new market development projects and participates in development of pricing schedules and strategies

Develops and recommends advertising and sales promotion programs

Coordinates sales activities with other departments

Maintains sales contracts and agreements

Perform other work-related task as required as assigned

Comply with all NOV Company and HSE procedures and policies

Working Conditions:
Office, manufacturing and field site environments.

Extensive Travel. (70 to 100 days per year)

Minimal Supervision.

The candidate location is flexible.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in related field is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Minimum Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
8 - 10 years’ experience in a directly related field

Industry wide exposure

Experience with Contracts and negotiations

Operational experience in a Crane/Offshore construction environment is preferred

Engineering background in Heavy lift offshore Cranes / Construction is preferred

Sales, Business Development or Project Management experience is advantageous Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
