About Our Company:

Lackawanna Insurance Group is a Workers’ Compensation Specialist with headquarters in Wilkes Barre, PA. Due to our organization’s current growth and expansion, we are looking for an experienced and highly professional Loss Prevention Consultant.

This is a home-based position that will be responsible for servicing an assigned territory in the Harrisburg/Reading region and surrounding areas.

Position Summary:

The Loss Prevention Consultant will be responsible for working with a specific group of clients to identify hazards and potential loss exposures and makes recommendations to eliminate or reduce the potential loss. This involves inspecting facilities, construction jobsites, factories and equipment for areas with potential for accidents. Following comprehensive research and analysis, the consultant must have the ability to write coherent technical reports, letters, make appropriate recommendations for repairs or upgrades, and produce safety plans.

Experience requirements:

·Minimum 5 years’ experience in Loss Prevention preferred.

·Will consider 5 years or more of manufacturing or construction industry experience as a safety manager, with increasing responsibility. Must be willing to obtain ARM or CSP designation within 5 years of employment.

·Thorough knowledge of workers’ compensation issues, industry trends, and safety standards in the Northeast United States.

·Strong analytical skills and detail orientation for report analysis

·Strong public speaking, communication and marketing skills

·Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

·Must be a self-starter, self-motivator, and able to work with minimal supervision.

Education requirements:

·Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, or Science.

·CSP and/or ARM designation preferred, but willing to consider other appropriate safety certifications such as Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS), Certified Safety and Health Management (CSHMS), Certified Safety Healthcare Professional (CHSP), Associate Loss Control Management (ALCM) or Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST)
