Overview
We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Deli Associate to join our team. As a Deli Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers and ensuring the deli department operates smoothly. Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of deli sandwiches, fresh juices and sliced meats.
- Assist customers in selecting deli products and provide recommendations
- Serve food from the hot bar/salad bar
- Ensure the deli counter is stocked with fresh and appealing products
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, including proper storage of ingredients and cleaning of equipment
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the quality and safety of all deli products
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily sales goals
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues promptly
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry or a similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and culinary techniques is a plus
