Position Title: Cook Immediate Supervisor: General Manager This job description is a record of the basic purpose, typical level of authority, typical scope of action and associated functions or duties of the job. The description is designed to provide management and others with an understanding of the level of the job, its working relationships, skill and identify the essential and additional work requirements. Purpose of Position: Prepare food in accordance with IHOP SOP recipes, food preparation and plating procedures. Additionally, maintain kitchen area to Health Department guidelines. Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain a neat and clean personal appearance adhering to IHOP and Mr. Stax Inc uniform standards at all times Prepare back-up food items according to IHOP recipes and SOP Label, date and rotate all perishable food items to ensure food freshness Store and organize food items received Minimize waste and spoilage while adhering to IHOP portioning specifications Prepare guest food according to IHOP SOP and/or to guests special instructions when necessary Clean and maintain galley and back kitchen equipment to Health Department Standards Work cooperatively with other cooks and restaurant personnel Adhere to all Labor Laws and company guidelines Follow proper company safety procedures Follow any other procedures and duties as assigned
