The Manufacturing Administrator position provides administrative support to assigned line, area or manufacturing department including performing production control activities such as reconciling inventory on the production floor, analyzing work order variances, gathering and filing records, reporting use of materials, monitoring production orders, and calculating metrics such as production rates and material/inventory movement. The position will also investigate root causes for order variances and work with the Team Leaders and Production Supervisors to implement solutions.
- Perform production control activities such as reconciling, gathering and filing records such as inventory tickets and batch records; reconciling inventory on production floor, analyzing work order variances, monitoring production orders, and calculating metrics such as production rates, and material/inventory movement.
- Gather information and investigate root causes for order variances and work with Team Leaders and Production Supervisors to implement solutions. Collaborate with scheduling/planning to ensure all orders are staged and organized.
- Release orders for production in MRP system and place material orders.
- They will also perform other administrative duties as needed, including writing reports, reconciling direct labor hours, tracking direct and indirect labor hours, close orders, etc. Perform other duties as required.

High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience. Good office/computer training required. Must have prior knowledge of manufacturing principles such as efficiency, productivity, quality systems & standards and safety processes & procedures. Must be able to speak, read/comprehend, and write in English.
2-5 years of manufacturing experience required and 1 year of clerical or advanced computer experience, including MS excel required or equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of production control activities and/or inventory control.
