The Vice President, Electronic Records set the strategic direction for the CarePATH and ConnectCare electronic health records instances. This individual is an effective influencer at the executive and clinician level and is the Project Executive throughout the life cycle of the project and support. Responsible for the financial and operational management of the EHR team.
Develops the strategic EHR direction for the system including implementation, optimization and maintenance.
Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the IT governance process of the EHR.
Develops business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for EHR spending and initiatives.
Conducts research to remain up-to-date and knowledgeable in regards to industry trends and emerging EHR best practices and optimal system utilization.
Develops KPIs to monitor performance such as speed to deliver, user acceptance, percent of errors, complaints or other criteria that are relevant and appropriate to the tasks performed.
Provides leadership and direction in the implementation, optimization and use of EHR systems at hospitals and physician practices.
Drives the culture within the EHR teams to align with ministry core behaviors.
Oversees the leadership and management of our EHR teams to ensure alignment with the strategic plan and a patient-centric focus.
Ensures maximum uptime and stability in the EHR system.
Manages the EHR budget.
Minimum Education: Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, BSN, or Information Technology related field. MBA or MHA preferred.
Minimum Experience: 10+ years progressive leadership positions in Healthcare Information & Technology function.
